OK, I fully admit that I don't watch "Keeping up with the Kardashians." But I have been watching the news on the abrupt and strange wedding of Khloe Kardashian to NBA star Lamar Odom. What's even stranger to me than their so called "rush to the alter" is the assertion now that their wedding was a "fake." Hello? their wedding happened, right? People Magazine was there to take photos. This is another classic case of the conflation of weddings and marriage. Khloe and her mama got A LOT of Mooola for the exclusive photo rights to this wedding ritual. But that's a completely separate issue from being married. DUH! The thing is, the wedding was real! AND they never signed a marriage contract! Khloe and her mom now get to run off with the bridal dowry. I say good for you, Khloe and mama, for catching people in their stupid assumption that the two are the same.
